Boys & Girls Club of Milford, CT Celebrates as Seymour Author Tarra Kiamos Andrews Launches her new book No Peanuts for Santa

The Boys & Girls Club of Milford is excited to announce August 21, 2014 is Boys & Girls Club Day at Barnes & Noble 1375 Boston Post Rd. Milford, CT.

This fun free event is designed to bring families together in a fun positive way participating in activities all day. Activities include face painting, arts and crafts, scavenger hunts throughout the store, games and much more!

The highlight of the day will be when local Author Tarra Kiamos Andrews launches her new book No Peanuts for Santa. Kiamos Andrews a former elementary school teacher currently resides in Seymour, CT with her husband, where they are the loving parents to their two children Olivia and Logan. A few years ago they were faced with a new challenge when their daughter was diagnosed with a food allergy. Since that day this allergy mom has been on a mission to increase food allergy awareness.

Through writing this book, she hopes to help children with food allergies feel included, which was a perfect reason for her to partner with the Boys & Girls Club of Milford on this project. It is the Boys & Girls Club's goal to make all children feel accepted and included no matter what their differences or challenges may be. Together the Boys & Girls Club of Milford and Kiamos Andrews are thrilled to be partnering to showcase No Peanuts for Santa and to work together to help bring awareness to a problem that affects so many youth today.

The Barnes & Noble of Milford will kick off the celebration at 10am with fun activities provided by the Boys & Girls Club staff and volunteers throughout the day. The book launch party will start at 5pm with Kiamos Andrews starting the fun with a reading of her newly released book No Peanuts for Santa. After the reading Kiamos Andrews will give a quick review of how, and most importantly why she wrote the book. Followed up with a Q&A and signing. As a culmination to the day's celebration several Boys & Girls Club members will be showcasing their amazing talents for all to enjoy.
