Milford Police Department is Hiring for new Police Officers

The Milford Police Department along with the South Central Criminal Justice Administration (SCCJA) has announced a testing process for the hiring of Police Officers.

Interested candidates must be at least 21 years of age, with a High School or equivalency diploma, a citizen of the United States, and possess a motor vehicle operator's license issued by the State of Connecticut or an operator's license by another state with the right to operate a motor vehicle within the state.

All Completed applications MUST be received (not merely postmarked) by Tuesday, August 4, 2015 by 4:30pm EDT at the SCCJA Offices.

Applications can be obtained online at the SCCJA website, www.sccjact.com/careers.asp

Or in a limited supply at the Milford Police Department, 430 Boston Post Road.

There is a $50 application fee due when turning in the application to the SCCJA.

Testing will consist of 3 phases: Agility Test, Written Test and Oral Examination.

  1.  The Agility Test is scheduled for Monday, August 24, 2015 at the Branford High School Gym, 185 East Main Street at 4:00pm
  2.  The Written Test for those who pass the Agility Test, will be Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Amity High School, 25 Newton Road  Woodbridge. There will be a morning and afternoon session, candidates will be notified of the time.
  3.  The Oral Examination will be held in Mid-September. Candidates will be notified of the exact date, time and location.
