Assistant State’s Attorney Bepko of the Ansonia-Milford District Honored by Senators Blumenthal & Murphy

Assistant State’s Attorney Amy Bepko, of the Judicial District of Ansonia-Milford, received a Certificate of Special Recognition from U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal and Certificate of Accomplishment from U.S. Senator Christopher S. Murphy, Wednesday, at an event held by the South Central Child Advocacy Center on the New Haven Green.

Senator Blumenthal cited her "extraordinary dedication and longstanding commitment to bringing an end to child abuse and neglect in our communities. Senator Murphy commended her "upstanding advocacy on behalf of children and [her] tireless fight to protect them from abuse and neglect."

Senator Murphy also noted Bepko’s recognition by her Peers at the Clifford Beers Clinic, and called her commitment to defending children "a testament to [her] compassionate spirit and willingness to address this vital issue."

The presentations were made as part of the Child Abuse Awareness Month Pinwheel Event at the New Haven Green. At the event, 350 pinwheels, representing the 350 victims served by the center in 2015, were placed on the green.
