Devon Rotary Awards $20,000 in Scholarships to Exceptional Milford Students

 The Devon Rotary Club held its annual Scholarship Awards breakfast on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at The Bridge House Restaurant, where exceptional Milford students received awards.

Fourteen Scholarships have been awarded by the Devon Rotary Trust Foundation this year, totaling $20,000.  They are given to students in recognition of academic interest and achievement, and also for their service to their school or the community at large.  The winners are selected by a committee of members from the Devon Rotary Foundation. 

The fourteen honorees this year are: Amita Sastry, Jonathan Law High School/Paul Austin Scholarship; Alyssa Paladina, Jonathan Law High School/Bridge House Foundation Scholarship; Sara Beck, Jonathan Law High School/Steven G. Memorial Scholarship; Veolette Hanna, Jonathan Law High School/Joyce G. Memorial Scholarship; Devon Sharafanowich, Jonathan Law High School/Joyce G. Memorial Scholarship; Adam Streeter, Jonathan Law High School/Antelope Web Digital Media Scholarship; David Patrick, Jonathan Law High School/Edward Bierne Memorial Scholarship; Vishal Manglani, Jonathan Law High School/Wescott and Mapes Scholarship; Jake Sullivan, Platt RVTS/Bridge House Dodie Ireland Memorial Scholarship; Noah Jorgensen, Joseph Foran High School/John D. Gaynor Memorial Scholarship; Brandon Reilly, Platt RVTS/Excello Tools/Tools of the Trade Award; Andrew Trujulo, Platt RVTS/Excello Tools/Tools of the Trade Award; Erin Saley, Jonathan Law High School/William Duncan Devon Rotary Knights Award; and Destin Johnson, Jonathan Law High School/William Duncan Devon Rotary Knights Award.
