2016 is the Year of the Shipswheel... MNLGLL Sets Records in Milford Little League!
2005 was our league's last District Championship, before then our last championship was 1963... This year 3 of our teams won their District Championship (10u, 11u, and 12u), all going undefeated through pool play and the playoffs.
That means we have had more success in 2016 then we have in over 50 years!
In addition to the success of the District teams, our tournament teams did a tremendous job as well. Our Team Mastroni, in the 10u division, won the Seabreeze Championship. And, they had to go through our Team Aliberti in the Semi-Finals to get there! Last but not least, our Team Henricksen, in the 12u Seabreeze division made it to the Championship game after very strong 6-1 record in pool play.
Even our Coach Pitch All Stars did a great job with wins against every other league in the tournament, there are no championships at this level, but our 2 Coach Pitch teams represented MNLGLL with respect.
Milford has never seen such a strong showing in the Little League post season. Our entire league is proud of all of our players, coaches, and families.
The 3 District Championship teams are playing this week in the State sectionals to see if they can advance and play for a State Title!
