The City of Milford collaborates with Elm City Party Bike to offer rides in & around Milford!

City of Milford Launches Partnership with Elm City Party Bike

Mayor Blake is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Elm City Party Bike, New England’s first and foremost pedaled sightseeing bike.

Milford is home to the longest shoreline in the state, a happening downtown, festivals and burgeoning neighborhoods that make for a fantastic coastal New England destination. The town’s amenities run the gamut from paddle boarding to world-class theater, from quaint shops to high-end dining.  Now both residents and tourists alike can take it all in from the unique vantage point of a multi-person bike – and see what makes Milford a great place to both live and visit.

“It’s a natural fit to offer this amenity in one of the most bike-able and walkable cities in the State. The party bike will partner with a number of neighborhoods and organizations to offer an unmatched experience of our many assets. We will continue to be a destination city and look forward to this partnership,” said Mayor Blake.

The Elm City Party Bike is a whole new way to experience Milford. It offers groups of 8-15 the ability to visit restaurants while viewing architecture, historical sites, the coast and more. Each seat on the party bike has a set of pedals, and while a trained Elm City driver steers the bike, while it’s powered by the riders themselves.

“We are honored to take part in some of the best events in the state taking place this spring and summer in Milford. The Elm City Party Bike offers residents and visitors a green, pedal-powered sightseeing experience, and is another way to show off Milford's amazing shops and restaurants, its storied history and the city's integral sense of place,” says Colin Caplan, partner in the Elm City Party Bike.

A handful of dates are offered this summer with the hopes the bike becomes a permanent fixture next summer.  Please see below for a list of dates.  Get a firsthand look when the bike launches its first pedal to kick off Memorial Day weekend and summer in Milford on May 25, 2017 at 4PM at City Hall followed by an evening pedal Downtown from 6PM-8PM.
