Pantochino's Summer Teen Theatre Young Frankenstein Now Registering

Award-winning Pantochino Productions Inc, Milford’s professional not-for-profit theatre company, is currently accepting registration for it’s Summer Teen Theatre production of “Young Frankenstein.” The two-week program runs July 30 - August 12 in Downtown Milford.

Pantochino Teen Theatre is designed to give young actors, age 12 to 18, the opportunity to learn and work with theatre professionals in creating a fully realized musical production. The immersive theatrical experience is under the direction of Bert Bernardi and Jimmy Johansmeyer with musical direction by Justin Rugg and choreography by Becki Walter.

From the genius mind of Mel Brooks, “Young Frankenstein” is a monster of a hit musical based on the original classic comedy film masterpiece. This wickedly inspired re-imagining of the legend of Frankenstein is the story of the bright young doctor who travels to Transylvania to complete the masterwork of his grandfather.

“Teen Theatre is one of our most popular programs,” said Bernardi. “We’re thrilled to bring this large-scale musical to life in this unique theatre experience for young actors,” he added. The program is limited to thirty participants. “Young Frankenstein” is produced with special arrangement with Music Theatre International, and the program is sponsored by a grant from the Frederick A. DeLuca Foundation.

Rehearsals for the two-week program take place weekdays from 9am to 3pm and are held at both First United Church and the Milford Center for the Arts in Downtown Milford.
