Congratulations to the Victorious Boys and Girls of the DRKB!

The Devon Knights 8^th grade boys played St Patrick's of Bedford, NY in the championship game of the Fairfield County Basketball Tournament this past Saturday.  Our boys fell behind early, 8-2, and battled back to trail 14-12, at the end of the first quarter.  The Knights took a 28-23 lead into halftime, sparked by two three-point shots by Ace Luzietti.  Noah Bailey and Ace each had 8 points in first half.  Our defense dominated the second half, limiting St Patrick’s to 15 total points.  Tommy Rosati scored 14 of his game-high 20 points in the second half, and Billy Romero scored 6 points in the fourth quarter, to seal the victory.  Danny Tobin dominated the glass, grabbing 12 rebounds. The Knights won their first FCBL Championship 59- 38!  Great job guys.

The Devon Rotary Knights 7th Grade Girls travel basketball team defeated the team from Redding Easton 46-43 in the championship game of the Fairfield County Basketball League Tournament. The Lady Knights had to overcome a deficit of 9 points two different times in the game, finally taking the lead with two minutes left in the fourth quarter and held on for the win. The Knights were led by Abby Paine who posted a double-double with 11 points and 27 rebounds along with Cate DeProfio, Mary Lonergan and Olivia Kowalski who each had 8 points.
