When: Every Thursday in July
What: Join us every Thursday for a nostalgic journey as we relive the most iconic moments in pop culture from the 1950s through the 1990s.
July 9 – 1950s – 7 pm – Hula Hoop Contest; Play board games from 1950’s. Giveaway poster to first 25 customers. Costumes encouraged.
July 16 – 1960s - 11:30 - Two Planks Theater in Monroe will perform musical excerpts from “Hairspray,” which is set in the 1960s. Play The Barrel of Monkeys, trivia contest, and more. Costumes encouraged.
Time Travel Weekend – Doctor Who
When: Friday, July 3, at 7 p.m.
What: Enjoy trivia, giveaways, a special offer, and more, or come dressed as your favorite character and join the fun.
Time Travel Weekend – Magic Treehouse Dinosaurs Before Dark
When: Saturday, July 4, at 10 a.m.
What: Travel back millions of years to explore the age of dinosaurs with fun activities, giveaways, and a special offer.
Time Travel Weekend – Outlander
When: Sunday, July 5, at 2 p.m.
What: Be transported to the intriguing world of bestselling author Diana Gabaldon with trivia, giveaways, and more.
DC Comics™ Days
When: Wednesday,July 8, through Sunday, July 12
What: Come in for a special offer on all DC Comics graphic novels and get a free Young Gotham comic collection and poster while supplies last. Also enjoy other giveaways and activities. Cosplay is welcomed!
Super Hero Party
When: Friday, July 10, at 7 pm
What: Come dressed as your favorite Super Hero or Villain. Prizes awarded for best costume. Also, trivia, giveaways, and games.
Comic Convention Collectibles
When: Thursday,July 9, through Sunday, July 12
To Kill a Mockingbird Read-A-Thon
When:Monday, July 13, from 4 to 7 pm.
What: All stores nationwide will read the acclaimed novel. Special guest readers are members of The Friends of the Milford Public Library. At 7 pm Dr. Joel Feimer, former professor at Mercy College, will lead a discussion about the book.
Go Set a Watchman release
When: Tuesday, July 14, starting at 7 a.m.
What: The highly anticipated novel is available for sale! Visit our Café from 7am to10am and get a free hot tall coffee with your purchase of Go Set a Watchman. Plus, the first 20 customers to buy the book will receive a free exclusive To Kill a Mockingbird reusable tote.
Minions Fun (PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED!)
When: Friday, July 17, at 7 p.m.
What: Customers can sign up now at Barnes & Noble Milford for the Minions Fun event. Become a certified Minion and attend Villain-Con to help search for the most despicable villain to follow. Activities and giveaways round out the fun.
Star Wars Saturday
When: Saturday, July 18, at 11 am
What: Fans of all ages join us for exclusive products, activities, cosplay, trivia, and for a chance to win a Star Wars character standee.
