Crittercam: A Tool in International Conservation

Wednesday, August 19
6:30 - 8:30pm

Meet National Geographic Fellow/Research Associate and award-winning filmmaker Greg Marshall as he shares his adventures from around the globe. Marshall is best known for the invention of National Geographic's Crittercam, a research tool that is deployed on animals to obtain video footage of their hidden lives. Join Marshall as he shares some of his greatest Crittercam experiences, including his work with Mystic Aquarium researchers studying belugas in the Arctic and snapping turtles in Connecticut.

Admission is free to this event. The speaker will begin promptly at 6:45pm. A cash bar and hors d'oeuvres will follow outside where guests can enjoy the belugas that helped test the Crittercam for deployment on whales in the Arctic. Guests must be 18+ to attend and reservations are required. Follow this link to make your reservations now.

Crittercam: A Tool in International Conservation is the first event in Mystic Aquarium's Conservation in Action speaker series, which is generously sponsored by Dominion. The three-part series features guest speakers who share their experiences with and contributions to the conservation of our ocean planet.
