Brent William Johnson, age 27, precious and beloved son, loving and devoted brother, lifelong resident of Milford, CT but currently of Burnsville, MN, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2016. Brent was born in New Haven, CT on November 10, 1988 to Gary M. and Beverly Slater Johnson. Brent held the position of Information Technology Specialist and Administrator in Minneapolis, MN.
Brent held his BS in Computer Science from Albertus Magnus College and his MS in Cyber Security from Sacred Heart University. He was also a radio broadcaster and a member of the technology clubs at college. Brent owned his own landscaping business, enjoyed the outdoors and photography. He had an appreciation for all sports and enjoyed attending sporting events around the country with his father, Gary. He was passionate about snowboarding, motorcycles and loved music. Brent belonged to the Milford Demolay Masonic Youth Group and was a proud Godfather to his niece, Noella. Brent enjoyed traveling and viewing city skylines. He also loved animals including his two dachshunds, Penny and Zoe. Brent will forever be loved, remembered and greatly missed by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
In addition to his parents, Brent leaves behind his sister, Brooke Johnson Torres and her husband Henry; sister, Terra Johnson Reed and her husband Keith; his nieces, Noella Brooke Torres and Sailee Eve Torres; his grandmother, Sylvia Johnson; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and family members. He is predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Jerome L. Johnson; maternal grandparents, Eleanor Flora and William Henry Slater, Jr.; maternal great-grandparents, Hazel Serviss Slater and William Henry Slater, Sr.; maternal great-grandmother Amelia Stronk; and many great-aunts and great-uncles.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 13, 2016 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Church, River St., Milford, CT. Burial will be private. Family and friends may call at St. Peter's Church on Monday, June 13, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brent William Johnson, Albertus Magnus College Scholarship Fund C/O Cody-White Funeral Home 107 Broad Street Milford, CT 06460.
