Marion Rita MacFadyen, 82, of Milford, beloved wife of 57 years to John MacFadyen, Jr., passed away peacefully at home after a 13 year battle with Alzheimer’s on Thursday, July 14, 2016.She was born in Stratford, CT on May 7, 1934 to the late Alice and Frank Jacko.
In addition to her devoted husband John, she leaves her loving children, David (Marsha) MacFadyen, Diane (Mark) Shackett, Jim (Heather) MacFadyen and John (Chris) MacFadyen; her cherished grandchildren, Sean (Holly) and Marc Shackett and Connor, Duncan, Patrick, Joe and Katelyn MacFadyen; her great-granddaughter, Annabeth Shackett; sister-in-law, Mildred Jacko; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Marion is also survived by her close friends and fellow members of the ‘Pumpkin Girls’, Blanche, Kathy and Florence. She was predeceased by her brother, Frank Jacko; her two brothers-in-law, Jim and Bob; and fellow ‘Pumpkin Girls’, Phyllis, Millie, Sandy, Ethel and Lydia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Gabriel Church, 26 Broadway, Milford (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH). Interment will follow at Saint Mary Cemetery, Buckingham Ave., Milford. Friends and family may call on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford.
