Arthur Terrell of Milford couldn’t be more excited when he walked through the doors of the CT Lottery Headquarters in Rocky Hill to claim his “Win Up To $2,000 A Month For Life 2nd Edition” top prize.
“For years we [Terrell’s family] had been buying tickets. My wife always said—‘We’re going to win!’ So I bought the ticket on Friday for her but she didn’t play it! I scratched the ticket in my car—my wife looked at it and couldn’t believe what she saw. She ran into the retailer—used the ticket checker and I could hear the clerk yell ‘That’s a winner!’”
When asked what he plans to do with his winnings, Terrell stated, “I’m going to save up a few checks—go back to Montana and take a nice vacation out west with the family.”
Terrell’s top prize winning ticket was purchased at Last Call Wines and Liquors at 2385 Main Street in Stratford. For selling the ticket, Last Call Wines and Liquors will receive a $6,000 check from the CT Lottery.
Owner of Last Call Wines and Liquors, Joe House, was congratulatory and added, “We get a lot of winners in this store—and that’s the best one yet.”
