Milford Announces July's Employees of the Month

Sewer Line Crew in the Wastewater Division within the Department of Public Works

for being selected as Employees of the Month for July 2016.

As the recipients of the award for the Mayor’s Employee of the Month Program, please join us in extending warm congratulations to this team in receiving this recognition.  After a review of all of the nominations the Selection Committee chose this team from the Wastewater Division as the winners for their dedicated service and outstanding customer service. 

Craig, Gary, Dan and Nick are the City of Milford’s Sewer Line Crew who ensure on a daily basis that the 225 miles of the City’s sanitary sewer lines are properly maintained.  Craig as Supervisor of Technical Services, and Gary, Dan and Nick as Sewer Line Mechanics work as a cohesive team.  They perform routine daily maintenance as well as address any emergencies that may arise.  They perform all scheduled jet cleaning and inspections of  sewer lines, frequent cleaning of areas with a history of stoppages, televised camera inspections, and smoke testing for illegal connections.  The crew clears mainline and lateral blockages. 

Craig, Gary, Dan and Nick work in a professional manner at all times and their work ethic is evident.  They are assets to the Wastewater Division of Public Works as well as the City of Milford.  They always work as a unified team and get the job done efficiently and effectively.  These are just a few of the many reasons the Mayor is most pleased to bestow this honor to Craig, Gary, Dan, and Nick for their outstanding work performance and exemplary teamwork.

Sumner Johnston the Working Leader is also a member of this team and was part of the nomination, however as a member of the Selection Committee he recused himself from participating in the vote and selection.  Nonetheless, his efforts and hard work are commendable.  He is an integral part of the Sewer Line Crew and the City certainly appreciates him and all his contributions!
