Milford Prevention Council Announces Hero of the Month

Milford Prevention Council (MPC) has announced February's Hero of the Month

Congratulations to Megan Carey Mackell! Here's what MPC has to say about this philanthropic lady:

Megan excels at helping others find a happy place!

Megan is 1st Vice President of Membership with the Junior Women’s Club of Milford. She generously volunteers her time alongside the other members of MJWC to plan and organize the Citywide Spelling Bee, Touch-A-Truck, Milford Senior Scholarships, and other great MJWC programs. These programs touch so many people in Milford and put smiles on many faces.

In her day job, Megan works at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Connecticut. She helps run community match programs and site-based programs at schools in the greater New Haven-Bridgeport area. Megan helps recruit and match high-school and adult mentors with young kids who benefit and learn from good mentorship and role models.

Some of you may recognize Megan from her days as greeter at Calf Pen Meadow School. You can find her at various fundraisers, MJWC events, and hosting paint nights all across Milford.

Thanks Megan!
