April is One City One Story month!
The One City One Story Committee is pleased to announce The Book of Unknown Americans as the 2017 adult title.
The novel uses first person reminiscences from an array of characters from Latin American countries who speak about their reasons for coming to the United States. Focusing on a star-crossed love story between two teenagers, the novel showcases hopes, dreams, guilt and love – and offers a resonant new definition of what it means to be an American. The Library, the Milford Arts Council, the Board of Education, Barnes & Noble, and other Milford organizations are all offering a vast selection of programs on the themes of immigration, diversity, and those commonalites that unite us.
