Milford's DMV Photo License Center to Resume Operations Today

Just a quick heads up! DMV’s Photo License Centers Resume Operations This Week

The Department of Motor Vehicles announced that its four photo license centers will resume operations on Tuesday September 29th.

The four centers reopening are:

  • Derby, 12 Main St., open Wednesdays and Fridays (8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)
  • Middletown, 386 Main St., open Wednesdays and Fridays (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.)
  • Milford, 70 West River St., open Tuesdays (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and Thursdays (10 a.m. to 7 p.m.).
  • Stamford, 137 Henry St., hours are by appointment only.

DMV last month temporarily suspended services following the launch of its new computer system.

The October 10th deadline to renew licenses, identification cards and registrations whosedue dates were extended in August due to the DMV computer upgrade is fast approaching.

Many can avoid going to DMV by visiting AAA offices.

Those with registration renewals can go online at ct.gov/dmv/online to avoid visiting a DMV office.

Customers renewing registrations can check online for tax delinquencies, reports on overdue emissions tests or failure to have state-required vehicle insurance. These often hold up registration renewals.
