UPDATE: Special Statement from Yale-New Haven Hospital Regarding Patient with Symptoms of Ebola

UPDATE 5:20pm from Yale-New Haven Hospital:

We have received preliminary notification that the patient admitted to Yale-New Haven Hospital late last night has tested negative for Ebola. Due to an overabundance of caution, before we fully rule it out, we will wait for the CDC official confirmation of the test result. In the meantime we will continue to monitor the patient using all appropriate protocols and precautions in order to ensure the safety of our staff, patients and community.

After much media buzz today surrounding a patient admitted to Yale-New Haven Hospital with possible Ebola systems, the hospital has released the following statement:

Yale-New Haven Hospital admitted a patient late Wednesday night for evaluation of Ebola-like symptoms. We have not confirmed or ruled-out any diagnosis at this point. We are working in cooperation with City, State and Federal helath officials. There is no further information at this time.
