Single Shot Fired at Milford Rest Stop; State Police Seek Public's Help for Infromation

On July 22, 2016 at approximately 2 a.m., Connecticut State Police Troop "G" Dispatch received reports of a suspicious incident within the commercial parking lot within the rear of the I-95 Southbound Milford Rest Area.

Upon investigation, Troopers observed a single bullet hole within a driver's side of a tractor trailer that was parked within the rear of the I-95 Southbound Milford Rest Area. Review of the camera system within the Rest Area revealed a shirtless heavyset white male wearing blue jeans and tan work boots walking around the area just prior to reports of gunfire. The white male was operating a tan colored extended cab Ford Super Duty style truck with rooftop lighting. A white female passenger of the Ford Super Duty, with dark colored long hair, dark colored pants, and a dark colored t-shirt was observed walking around the area during the incident.

The male suspect and white female were observed leaving the rest area in the tan colored Ford Super Duty at a high rate of speed. No injuires were reported on scene. The operator of the tractor trailer that was struck by gunfire is not to believed to be connected with the suspects observed.
