Two Arrested After a Yearlong Investigation into a Crash that Killed a 4-year old

An extensive investigation into a deadly crash involving unrestrained children has come to a close with two arrests.

On 8/15/15 at approximately 9:10 p.m., Rossrandon Stanley (DOB: 12/27/88) was traveling north on I-91 near exit 2 in New Haven. Stanley was operating in a reckless manner, at an unsafe speed, in and out of traffic when he lost control, causing the vehicle to crash and rollover. During the rollover sequence, several occupants, including two children were ejected from the vehicle. None of the three children in the vehicle were properly restrained in child safety seats, as required by law.

One of the children, 4-year-old Kamorah Stanley, died as a result of the injuries she sustained when she was ejected from the vehicle. The investigation also found that the operator, Stanley, had an elevated blood alcohol content and was possibly under the influence of marijuana as well. Operator #1 did not have a license and his driving privileges were suspended. Subsequent to the accident, Stanley lied to investigators and provided a false written statement in which he denied driving. Also charged was the adult passenger in the vehicle, Rayna Green (DOB: 5/24/87).
