Milford Police Make Domestic Violence Arrests

On November 20, 2016, at approximately 7:30pm Milford Police responded to a Virginia Street residence on the report of possible Domestic Violence. Investigation led to the arrest of Kenneth Johnson (W/M, 59) 12 Virginia Street, Milford. Johnson is accused of engaging in a physical altercation with a female inside of the residence, was placed under arrest, and later released on a Promise to Appear with a Court Date of November 21, 2016.

Johnson was instructed that he could not go back to the residence or attempt to contact the female victim in anyway until after he went to court. On November 21, 2016, at approximately 1:30am Milford Police were once again called to the same Virginia Street residence on the complaint of possible Domestic Violence.

Investigation led to the arrest of Johnson, again. Johnson is accused of returning to the residence after having conditions of release assigned stating he could not and attempting to gain entry through locked doors. Johnson is also accused of attempting to contact the female victim seven times, leaving voice messages threatening to harm the victim. At the time of this arrest Johnson had a prescription pill not in the original container and a small amount of marijuana and a glass bowl in his pocket. Officers noticed Johnson had several marks and bruises on his face and that his vehicle had heavy front end damage.

It was then learned Johnson had been in 2 separate motor vehicle accidents that took place between being released the first time and being taken into custody again. The first accident took place in the parking lot of 359 New Haven Avenue, in which Johnson’s vehicle struck the building structure causing significant damage to the building. The second accident took place on Virginia Street when Johnson’s vehicle struck a parked vehicle as he was attempting to back into the driveway.
