Police arrest Rhode Island man in connection with robbery of Chase Bank in Milford

Bank Robbery, 370 Boston Post Road Arrest

On December 2, 2016, The Chase Bank, 370 Boston Post Rd, Milford was robbed just prior to closing time.

Milford detectives gathered evidence at the scene of the bank robbery that led them in identifying 27 year old Ryan O’Farrell, 6 Beacon Street, Westerly RI, as a suspect.

Detectives later traveled to Rhode Island where O’Farrell was incarcerated on unrelated charges and questioned him regarding his involvement in the bank robbery. O’Farrell then admitted his involvement in the Bank Robbery. Rhode Island held O’Farrell as a fugitive from justice until he could be extradited back to CT to be charged with this bank robbery. O’Farrell waived extradition and was transported back to CT on March 24, 2017.

O’Farrell’s charges are below:

  • Robbery 2nd
  • Larceny 4th

O’Farrell was held on $100,000 bond and appeared in Milford Court date of March 27, 2017
