Milford Police make arrest in attempted murder case

On July 22, 2017, at approximately 7:45am Milford Police responded to a Milford residence on the report of a threatening with a knife.

Officers responded to the residence and learned the offender, Patrick Kiraly (W/M, 27) of Milford had gotten into a verbal argument with a female inside the residence and at one point punched the female in the face and then began strangling the female using his hands. The female recalls almost blacking out before another male in the residence heard the commotion and separated the two. Kiraly then pulled a pocket knife and threatening the male with the knife. The male told Kiraly to leave, at which point Kiraly picked up his 2 year old child and left the residence to go to another Milford residence. The male then called 911.

Officers responded to the residence Kiraly had gone to and took custody of him. A family member also responded and took custody of the 2 year old child.

Kiraly is charged with the following: Criminal Attempt to commit Attempted Murder Risk of Injury Strangulation 2nd Threatening 2nd Reckless Endangerment Kiraly was held a $250,000 bond to appear in Milford Court on July 24, 2017.
