Milford Police Make Criminal Mischief Arrest

On September 11, 2017, Milford Police officer Roggie observed a male causing damage to a New Haven Avenue restaurant by beating on the door and smashing small potted plants in front of the restaurant.

Officer Roggie then observed the male throwing pieces of cinder blocks at vehicles as they drove by. The male, John Katrick of Home Acres Avenue, began approaching officer Roggie in an aggressive manner with a screw driver clenched in his hand. Katrick was ordered to drop the screwdriver and get on the ground, at which point Katrick attempted to get into his vehicle.

Katrick eventually was tased when he once again came at the officer in an aggressive manner. Katrick was then taken into custody, and it was learned that he had caused approximately $500 worth of damage to the building.

Katrick is charged with the following: Threatening Interfering/ Resisting Arrest Criminal Mischief 2nd Criminal Trespass 1st Katrick is being held on $2,500 bond to appear in Milford Court on September 11, 2017
