Barbazzano: the Road to Ruins Lecture - FULL

On Thursday, January 29th at 7pm - local resident Arthur Zinn will appear at the New Canaan Library, where he will present an incredible lecture on the restoration of his 11th Century Tuscan property Barbazzano. Arthur, formerly a New York attorney flew to Italy with his wife Martha in 2000, where they spent six years painstakingly restoring the dilapidated farming hamlet, with thousand year old foundations.

Today Barbazzano is a beautiful, luxury villa, located only 2-hours from Florence. Sitting high in the scenic hills between the Chiana and Arno valleys, this stunning property has nine bedrooms - accommodating up to twenty people, seven bathrooms and five separate living rooms. Nestled privately within six acres of landscaped grounds, the villa boasts an 8 x 16 meter swimming pool with waterfall; children's wading pool; pool house with shower; wood-burning beehive pizza oven and outdoor patios for al fresco dining.

To provide a Mediterranean flavor to the evening, the lecture is being sponsored by Barolo Trattoria and Wine Bar - where the Head Chef, Giuseppe Castellano will create a large assortment of Salumi e Formaggi (meat and cheese) goat cheese tarts and wine.

Barolo have created a home dining & catering menu that will be available in time for super bowl They are also working on a special Valentine's Weekend menu, running from Friday, February 13th through to Sunday, February 15th. Family-Style Sunday's will then launch the following weekend, with a special Sunday menu.

The event will take place in the New Canaan Library's Adrian Lamb Room.
