Celebrating theTake Your Child to the Library Day

New Canaan Library joins libraries across Connecticut in celebrating the 4th annual “Take Your Child to the Library Day,” on  Saturday, February 7th. Children and their parents are invited to get in the fun with a host of exciting and different events scheduled throughout the day.

Included in the programming for this special day is a lively concert with children's musician Al deCant, who will perform  Rockin’ & Reading with Pete the Cat at 11am in the Curtis Gallery. And, if you've worked up a thirst singing, refreshments will follow.

There are events going on throughout the day. Between 10 am and 4pm children are invited to stop by for a scavenger hunt in the children's room. After the hunt children will receive a goody bag or they may make a snowman or puppet craft to take home. In addition, open time for Duplo block building will be available from 1:30 to 3:00pm.

For more information, please call the New Canaan Library’s Children’s Room at 203-594-5002.
