New Canaan Library Hosts Talk by Fairfield County Hospice House

New Canaan Library welcomes leaders from the Fairfield County Hospice House on Tuesday, April 4 to speak about the first house dedicated to hospice care in the state of Connecticut. The house, scheduled to open in 2017, will be a place where people can spend their final days surrounded by family and friends in a home environment.

Speakers include Julia Portale, the Executive Director for the Fairfield County Hospice House, and Sharon Bradley, President and CEO of Visiting Nurse & Hospice, Inc. since 1999.  After the discussion they will answer general questions about hospice and end of life care.  The talk will be held in the Curtis Gallery at 6:30 p.m.
