New York-based Guitarist John Lehmann-Haupt at New Canaan Library Tomorrow

New Canaan Library invites all to immerse themselves in the tantalizing performance of guitarist John Lehmann-Haupt tomorrow, Wednesday, June 28 from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm. This event is FREE.

 From classical works of Bach to Debussy and James Taylor, Lehmann-Haupt presents much-loved music that crosses all musical genres. The performance will take place on Wednesday, June 28 at 6:30 p.m. in the Curtis Gallery. Seating is limited, please register online at newcanaanlibrary.org.

John Lehmann-Haupt has been playing since he was five years old. Known equally for his arrangements of popular and traditional songs and for his classical interpretations, he has released recordings on the Physical World, AIG, and JLH Records labels. His twelve-year engagement at Windows on the World (atop the World Trade Center) was cited by the New York Times. John’s writings have appeared in The New York Times and several other publications; he was a staff instructor at New York’s American Institute of Guitar from 1982 until its 2008 closing.
