Culinary Works Cooking Classes

Culinary Works is headed up by Julia Deane, who began her culinary career as a young child baking in the kitchen with her mother and brothers. As a young adult Julia enrolled onto the culinary program at Norwalk Community College, where she studied under French based, certified Master Chef Edward Leonard, CMC, AAC. She has continued to enjoy honing her skills ever since attending the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and recreational schools in New York, New Orleans and Chicago. At Culinary Works Julia teaches small groups seasonal classes - her focus being knife skills and cooking techniques.

The classes last 3 -4 hours and are hosted at DEANE Inc., on 189 Elm Street, New Canaan or 1267 East Main Street, Stamford. Suitable for corporate team building, a ladies night out, private celebrations and for wannabe chefs - simply choose which class appeals to you most. With a 6:30pm start time, you are welcome to bring your own alcohol.

Following are the list of classes up to November. In the words of Julie: “It’s not always the recipes you are learning, it’s the little things in how you get there along the way that will make you a better cook.”
