Grace Farm Recognized with Prestigious AIA Award

Grace Farms Foundation, designed by the Pritzker Prize-winning architecture firm SANAA has been awarded the American Institute of Architects (AIA) 2017 Institute Honor Award. This award is the profession’s highest recognition of works, and exemplifies excellence in architecture, interior architecture and urban design. In April, both Grace Farms and Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa from SANAA Architects will be honored in an awards exhibit at the AIA Conference on Architecture in Orlando, Florida.

On receiving this award Sharon Prince, President of Grace Farms Foundation said: “It is an honor to receive this prestigious award from the AIA for creating a new type of public space at Grace Farms, where collaboration toward new and unexpected outcomes can flourish. We are grateful to the visionary architects Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa of SANAA, and executive architects Handel Associates, for designing the River building, which seamlessly integrates into the natural surroundings of Grace Farms and has emerged as a place of grace and peace".
