Chamber Music at the Carriage Barn Arts Center

Join the Carriage Barn Arts Center on Sunday, October 5th, 2:30 - 4:00pm for a free chamber music performance by the Connecticut based collective - Madera Winds.

Madera Winds Quintet was established in 2012, and comprises of: Ralph Kirmser (oboe), Janet Atherton (clarinet) John Harley (horn), Jan Van Den Berg (flute), and Danielle Stopek (bassoon). These musicians have over 30 years experience performing chamber music with groups across Fairfield County.

On October 5th they will perform Pastoral by Vincent Persichetti, Quintet for Winds by August Klughardt: Allegro non troppo and Allegro vivace, Mississippi Five by Jim Parker: King Oliver Steps Out, Blues for Johnny Dodds, The River Queen, Le Tombeau De Bessie Smith, and Les Animaux. Then after a short intermission they will finish up their concert with Aires Tropicales by Paquito D’Rivera:  Alborada,  Son,  Habanera,  Vals Venezolano, Contradanza, Afro.
