Bestselling Author Wendy Walker Speaking at New Canaan Library

Bestselling author Wendy Walker will be speaking to the Women’s Networking Group of Fairfield County on Wednesday, May 3rd from 10:30am-2pm at the New Canaan Library Art Gallery. The event is free and open to the public.

Ms. Walker will discuss her journey from lawyer, to stay-at-home mom and, then, to the author of psychological thrillers. Having never done any creative writing, Wendy decided to write a novel while she was taking time off from the law to raise her small children. After six years, she found an agent and a publisher for two women’s fiction novels. But that was not the end of the story. Wendy will discuss the complex world of publishing, how she went back to practicing law and nearly gave up her dream of being a working writer before finally breaking through with her debut thriller, All Is Not Forgotten

The Women’s Networking Group of Fairfield County was founded by Elizabeth Blanchard, Sally Cordovano and PJ Marcella and meets the first Wednesday of every month at the New Canaan Library to hear speakers on topics of interest.
