Enjoy a full day of ART at one of the oldest artist communities in the U.S. The Silvermine School of Art will host a day of workshops and demonstrations for artists of all ages and levels.
The Open Art Studio will take place on Sat., Sept. 9 from 9:30am to 3:30pm. Try out a new technique or medium, learn a new discipline, join an in-depth workshop, or observe some of the many demonstrations going on throughout the day.
This special all-day Open Art Studio will begin at 9:30am. Participants can meet each other over coffee and light breakfast before the sessions begin at 10am. The Silvermine faculty will be on hand to give explanations and demonstrations of techniques in various media that are not ordinarily available at other art schools.
Silvermine’s School of Art was recently honored by Moffly Media for Best Art Classes. Meet and talk with Silvermine’s distinguished faculty during the workshops and demonstrations. Attendees are also invited throughout the day to preview and browse the Annual Faculty Exhibition in the Silvermine Galleries, one of the most dynamic exhibits of the year. The Open Art Studio on Sept. 9 is a great way to explore a passion or to sample a subject you may want to pursue later. It is also a great way to meet other artists and join in the vibrant life of the artist community at Silvermine.
