New Canaan Library is pleased to announce its second Artist in Residence program will begin on April 9, 2018. The bi annual Artist in Residence program debuted in May 2016, and is unique in being one of only a few of its kind in the country, aligning the elements of an artist's residency with the Library's mission to inspire lifelong learning through innovation and discovery.
This spring's program aims to foster a connection between the community and art; sparking new ways of thinking about art, as well as the process of creating it, via hands-on exploration. Over the course of the program (April 9 - May 2, 2018) the artist will, in addition to exhibiting his or her art in the Library's Curtis Gallery, hold numerous hands on sessions where individuals can learn about and experience the process under the guidance of the artist.
