Construction underway on latest leg of Norwalk River Valley Trail though the historic Pine Island Cemetery

With the support of the Norwalk Redevelopment Agency and the Historical Commission, construction is underway on the latest leg of Norwalk River Valley Trail (NRVT). This new section will connect Crescent Street, passing through the historic Pine Island Cemetery, to the Lockwood Mathews property. Once completed, this new section will result in a better-connected NRVT from the Maritime Aquarium to Union Park behind the Norwalk Library.

Resources Services of Bridgeport is constructing the trail through the Pine Island Cemetery and expects this new section of the NRVT will be completed by November 1.
