Republican and New Canaan resident, Mike Handler has announced he is a candidate for governor of the State of Connecticut.
Handler is currently employed by the City of Stamford as the Director of Administration. The City website states that he is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving the City's financial systems and policies. He works alongside the Mayor where serves as an advisor.
Handler joins other Republican candidates hoping to succeed Dannel Malloy including Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton and Shelton Mayor Mark Lauretti.
Handler has launched a campaign website Handler for Governon CT 2018 and is accepting donations.
