White Silo Farm and Winery Hosts Annual Blackberry Festival

Looking for something fun and new to do close to home this weekend? From Saturday, August 17 through Sunday, August 18, the White Silo Farm and Winery in Sherman is hosting the 3rd Annual Blackberry Festival. From 12:00-5:00 PM, the whole family can enjoy live music from the Blue Yodels, a band with a self-described “acoustic jangly pop, retro-country” vibe on Saturday, and Martin Meyer, who offers a lower-key feel, on Sunday. There will also be vendors offering food and snacks inspired by blackberries and selling various items.

The White Silo Farm and Winery is family owned and operated, located on a beautiful plot of land surrounded by abundant blackberry, raspberry, rhubarb, and green and red grape crops used to make their unique wines. The green, rolling hills of Sherman provide a beautiful backdrop to this idyllic plot, where patrons can relax with a picnic lunch and take in the views. The staff is helpful, courteous, and truly makes your experience at the winery a comfortable, laid-back, enjoyable one.

If you’re looking for good food, good company, live music, and a taste of the great outdoors before summer comes to a close, visit the While Silo Winery this weekend for their Blackberry festival.
