United for Troops Accepting Donations and Letters for Soldiers

Let's MARCH INTO SPRING for our deployed troops!

Please donate to United for the Troops for their next packing day on Saturday, April 8th.

There are many ways you can help:

  1. Donate items: For suggestions, visit their wish list  which includes, snacks, toiletries, sundries and other miscellaneous items.
  2. Financial donations: Boxes are sent to individual soldiers at a cost of approximately $15 a box. Financial Donations of any amount are gratefully accepted via PayPal.
  3. Write a card or letter: Send a word of thanks. United for the Troops also collects cards to send with their care packages. This is a great community service project for your child's classroom, girl or boy scout troop, community organization, senior center or individual.
  4. Become a collection site: Do you have a spot for a red donation bin? Contact unitedforthetroops@gmail.com!
  5. Volunteer for a packing day: Although the volunteer list for April 8th is closed, email unitedforthetroops@gmail.com to be added to their list for future packing days.

"We receive letters from soldiers expressing their gratitude to the community for sending these care packages," James Rathschmidt, "They are so touched that someone they don't even know takes the time to write a note to thank them for their service. Some of these service member don't have anyone at home writing to them, so these packages mean so much to them. They read the letters and carry them with them."

United for the Troops is celebrating 10 years of graciously serving those who selflessly serve us! More than 16,000 boxes shipped to date! View the attached video to see the amazing work this organization does by pulling the community together to support a great cause!
