Tomorrow, September 20th, is our 2nd Annual New Fairfield Day.

Here is the schedule of events planned for this fun-filled day that make New Fairfield an awesome place to live.

The day starts off with the Lions Club parade at 9:30 am.

Following the parade, we will proceed to Memorial field for a ceremony to honor two of local heroes - Chris Blackwell and TJ Lobraico. The "Road Dedication" ceremony will be shown on the Jumbo-tron at this time. The families of these fallen heroes will be presented with handmade "Honor and Remember" flags by the CT Patriot Guard.

New Fairfield Day will then kick off with events all over town!

Memorial Field: Live bands and New Fairfield Baseball

Veterans Green: Military equipment will be on display, courtesy of our veterans.

Stop and Shop: NF Volunteer Fire Department will host its annual Fire Prevention Day, local organizations and businesses will be on hand with information available, and Stop and Shop will have sign ups for their cards to benefit our schools.

Dunham Pond: New Fairfield Land Trust will show off the recently cleaned and new walking trail at Komlo Preserve.

Senior Center: The seniors will host an art and quilt show, the Community Service Club will coordinate the Amber Alert program in the Community Room, and Preserve New Fairfield will play host to their newly opened museum. The Boy Scouts will be stationed next to the Senior Center.

Candlewood Drugs: The pharmacy will have a band and in-store specials

Old Route 37 Grill: events for the kids courtesy of this fine establishment. will have events for kids. I hope everyone will come out to honor our two local heroes and spend the dayseeing what makes New Fairfield such an awesome place to live. Traffic Alert for tomorrow September 20th: At 8:45am until approximately 10:15am Routes 37 & 39 will be closed in the center of town for the parade and New Fairfield Day.
