Come celebrate out 30th Annual Run for the Turkeys 5K Road Race/ Health Walk which will be held on Sunday, November 23rd. Included in the day’s events will be a kid’s fun run around the track for children 12 years and under.
T-shirts will be given to all 5K runners and walkers registered by October 27th. Digital timing, positional placing, raffle prizes and trophies to the top runners in each division are highlights of this year’s event. Come join in the fun with the After Hours Band performing along the race route. Refreshments will be available courtesy of Dunkin Donuts.
** Since we are celebrating our 30th year – there will be special prize categories for the runner who has traveled the farthest, the runner wearing the oldest Turkey Run t-shirt, and the three best Thanksgiving themed costumed runners.
3rd Annual New Fairfield Parks and Recreation Santa’s Workshop, Holiday Light Parade & Tree Lighting on Saturday, November 29th with a rain date of Sunday, November 30th.
From 12:30-3:30 by reservation children can visit Santa, Mrs. Claus and their elves at his workshop in the New Fairfield Library. At 5:00 the light parade will begin! Following the parade – join Santa in lighting the town tree. There will be hot chocolate, coffee by Starbucks, and cookies served.
