House and Garden Tour in New Fairfield on July 17 from 11am to 3pm.

Do you like antique homes, contemporary gardens, fascinating stories and once-in-a-lifetime peeks into places not often open to the public? Friends, you are in luck! The semi-annual Preserve New Fairfield House and Garden Tour is right around the corner and we are reserving tickets just for you! Set for July 17, the self-guided tour promises to delight the senses with magnificently appointed gardens in their peak of summer beauty and some lovely old structures whose walls could tell some terrific tales. The tour takes you all around New Fairfield, even to a legendary location rumored to have hosted Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio on their honeymoon.

Tickets are $25 and the tour happens rain or shine from 11 am to 3 pm. No tickets will be sold after 12:30 pm on the day of the event. Tickets can also be purchased before July 10 for a discount at the Barn Gallery and the Savings Bank of Danbury.

The House and Garden Tour begins at the Community Room above New Fairfield Senior Center, 33 Rt. 37, New Fairfield, where you will get your ticket and map and can stop to tour the Hubbell House Museum. Locations are not revealed until the day of the tour. All proceeds benefit Preserve New Fairfield, a non-profit group dedicated to the life and stories of historic structures in town.
