Join Master Composter Deirdra Wallin at Connecticut Audubon's Deer Pond Farm in Sherman on Thursday, November 9 at 10 a.m. (2-3 hours 1.5-2.5-miles mildly hilly trails).
This is our first Thinking Thursday Walk & Talk! You’ll learn the benefits of increasing your recycling efforts via home composting and see how it mimics the natural process of decomposition in nature. Healthy soil supports a healthy landscape to support wildlife habitat.
After the introduction to composting talk, we’ll enjoy a short nature walk of 1.5 to 2.5 miles over mildly hilly trails.
Dress for the weather. Rain cancels. Bring binoculars, camera, and a sense of adventure.
