Potential for Accumulating Snow Sunday Night

The National Weather Service has announced the potential for accumulating snow in our area Sunday night, December 11 into early Monday.

  •   A plowable snow is possible across interior NE NJ, Lower Hudson Valley, and interior southern CT with impacts to the Monday morning rush hour.  Snow should change to plain rain by middle morning.

  •   Closer to the coast, a snow/rain mix is forecasted Sunday night changing to all rain towards sunrise Monday. A light coating of snow is possible Sunday night before the changeover to plain rain.

  •   A warmer system would result in snow changing to rain quicker from south to north late Sunday night into Monday morning with lower snow totals.

A colder system would bring the potential for a bit higher snow totals than currently forecast, including locations near the coast.
