Connecticut State Police Announce State Police Trooper Trainee Examination

The Connecticut State Police announce that the State Police Trooper Trainee exam application period is now open. The application for the exam will be available starting Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. (EST) through Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. (EST). All are encouraged to apply.

Applicants must apply through the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services (DAS) website http://das.ct.gov

Everyone, especially those interested in becoming a trooper, is encouraged to visit the Connecticut State Police website for information on the hiring process www.ct.gov/despp and “like” and follow the new Connecticut State Police Recruitment and Selections Facebook page to have all requirement and hiring process questions answered.

The Connecticut State Police will be hosting a Tweet Along Thursday March 30, 2017 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., allowing followers to virtually ride along with troopers via Twitter to experience a day in the life of a trooper. More information to follow in the next week. Twitter: @CT_STATE_POLICE

The Connecticut State Police will also host a Coffee with a Trooper meet and greet recruitment/informational on Saturday April 8, 2017 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Connecticut Police Academy, 285 Preston Ave., Meriden, CT.

Coffee with a Trooper is open to ALL, including those already registered to take the test, those thinking about registering to take the test, and future candidates (those who don’t make the age requirement, aren’t ready to apply, still in high school, etc.)

This will be an informal meet & greet for anyone to learn more, and ask questions about, the hiring process, physical agility, academy life and life as a trooper.
