Strikes for the Carlsons in honor of New Fairfield resident & Danbury Police Sergeant, Drew Carlson

Danbury police sergeant Drew Carlson of New Fairfield passed away tragically and suddenly on Sunday, September 3, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife, Erin, and their three wonderful children, Kayla, Taylor and Tyler.

Fellow Danbury Police Officers including Matt Casazza, have organized a charity fundraiser to help defray the funeral costs and ease the burden Carlson's wife, Erin and their children.

On November 4, join Danbury Police, friends, and community members for a fun day of bowling and friendship at Brookfield Lanes (840 Federal Rd.) in honor of the Carlson family.

"It's with that same sense of responsibility that we at the Danbury Police Department host this event.  It's an honor to do whatever we can for a guy who would have done the same for any one of us," says Casazza.

Casazza continues, "We all knew Drew to be a man of honor and integrity, as someone who believed in doing the right thing simply because it was the right thing to do.  Drew was a man of principle, a man to whom certain things in life were very important.  His family was very important to him, as was the sense of purpose and responsibility he felt as a police officer."
