New Fairfield resident, Kathleen Cupo, 59, has died

Kathleen (Cronin) Cupo. 59, of New Fairfield, wife of John J. Cupo, died on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the Putnam Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Holmes, NY.

A daughter of the late Robert and Marcia (Adikes) Cronin, Mrs. Cupo was born in New York NY, April 17, 1958 and raised in Rye, NY where she attended schools and graduated from SUNY-Courtland.

She was employed for a time after college and prior to her marriage. United in marriage to John J. Cupo thirty two years ago, Kathy then became a stay at home wife and mom.

A resident of New Fairfield for the past thirty years coming from Westchester County, NY, she was a member of St. Edward the Confessor Parish.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Cupo is survived by two sons, Nicholas Cupo and his wife Joanne of Saratoga Springs, NY and Michael Cupo of Danbury; Kelly Cupo of Washington, DC and Angela Cupo of New Fairfield, a brother, Robert Cronin and his wife Wanda of Matheson, MS; three sisters, Linda McCloat of Easton, CT, Caroline Dale and her husband John of Wappinger Falls, NY and Melora Lucas and her husband Paul of Portchester, NY and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 10:30 am in St. Edward the Confessor Church, 21 Brush Hill Rd., New Fairfield.

Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.

The family will receive friends in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm.
