Programming in Scratch Classes Starting at New Fairfield Library

Free Class starting soon at the New Fairfield Library - Programming in Scratch

Register at the library Children’s desk or call (203) 312-5682.

Scratch was developed by MIT and is a perfect way to learn important fundamentals of programming that are important for all programming languages. No typing skills are needed. While creating simple video games, students will learn about statements, loops, variables, basic principles of game design and understand what thinking like a coder is really about. Scratch is not just for beginners but is very useful for creating animations for school projects through high school and learning advanced concepts in engineering.

Students should come with an existing Scratch account or an email address that can be used to create the account. While Scratch can be used on tablets, laptops and a mouse are required for this class. Students may bring their own laptops but computers and mice will be provided if needed.

Classes are Saturday Jan. 7, 14, 21 at 1:30 p.m.

Register at the library Children’s desk or call (203) 312-5682.
