Sawmill Road is CLOSED this week at Woodcreek Road.
The closure is expected to last about a week. Traffic delays are expected as the project moves north on Route 39.
The Candlewood Corners project is needed to address the current drainage that is undersized and poorly aligned. As a result, flooding occurs damaging properties and causing hazardous driving conditions.
The project entails installing two culverts large enough to handle flood events without flooding of properties or roadways.
The project will take three to four months to complete.
