Notice is hereby given to the electors of the Town of New Fairfield and those qualified to vote at a Town Meeting, who reside at property commonly known as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 16 Squantz View Drive and 6 and 8 Carola Lane, and the roads known as Squantz View Drive and Carola Lane in the Town of New Fairfield (which property is more particularly described in a petition on file and available for public inspection in the Office of the Selectmen), of a public meeting to be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 7:00 P.M. in the Community Room at 33 Route 37 in New Fairfield, for the following purpose:
To consider and act upon the establishment of an independent municipal district, pursuant to Connecticut General Statutes §7-325, et. seq., consisting of the above described property, to construct and maintain roads, sidewalks, crosswalks, drains and sewers, to appoint and employ watchmen or police officers, and all other lawful purposes of districts stated in Section 7-326 of the Connecticut General Statutes and any other general or special act, as amended, as the district shall decide to undertake.
