Donald Trump Heats Up Fairfield Connecticut

Trump heats things heat up at Sacred Heart University

Beginning in the early afternoon on Saturday, August 13, the campus of Sacred Heart University became the grounds of democracy.

Temperatures hovering around one hundred degrees, people waited in line for more than five hours for a chance to hear the Republican presidential candidate speak while Clinton supporters swarmed the campus grounds protesting, “Love Trumps Hate."

Trump was truly fired up in Fairfield- was it the heat? Quick to bring up the departure of General Electric, blaming high business tax rates and Governor Malloy’s “very bad representation in Connecticut,” he riled up more than 4,000 attendees.  “How did you lose General Electric?” he questioned.

Trump spoke inside of the sweltering William Pitt Center in Fairfield, Connecticut for more than an hour; bashing Hillary Clinton, the media, and a corrupt administration. He called the New York Times "real garbage” saying, “The newspaper is going to hell”. He spoke in a similar tone about CNN.

On the softer side, Trump welcomed an 18-year-old young man Make-A-Wish patent to the stage. Giacomo Brancato, whose wish is was to meet Mr. Trump, took the microphone and asked the crowd to vote for Trump, pleading with them to “make America great again”.

"The fact that it's like 198 degrees in here makes me love Connecticut even more,” declared Trump. Will Connecticut residents reciprocate that love when they visit the polls in November?
